I got my hands on a new macbook air today but let me first preface my experience with this. I have never liked small screens, light weight computers, or ever really seen a use for such a small light weight computer. Personally, I like my laptop computers to feel solid and sturdy and have a screen worthy of watching movies on without having to squint, my macbook pro does just that. With that said, the new macbook air is amazing in every aspect. It’s solid & sturdy, and the screen looks amazing! The full size keyboard has some new small added touches that almost alone make me want one. The up and down arrows on the new keyboard have a rounded edges. I know its doesn’t seem like much but wait till you touch it. The most exciting difference I noticed was the trackpad. It doesn’t lack at all in surface area department, but its feel was a 1000x better then the previous glass trackpads which I despise on the latest models of the macbook pro. Having a solid state drive and being almost the same price as a new macbook, I almost find this machine irresistible. Of course its not going to feel like an iPad but apple has definitely done a fantastic job making this new little device feel great in your hands. Gosh I want one! Thanks again Steve Jobs and Apple ruining my life!
